Promoting Your Business on Facebook Vs. LinkedIn

Hi There,Everyone is saying that you need to use Facebook and LinkedIn to promote your business, but no one is saying how to on these different platforms. You promote your business on Facebook daily. You send DMs and are active in groups, but you just aren't connecting with anyone. On LinkedIn, it seems that everyone that contacts you is a recruiter or someone trying to sell you something. How do you connect with a real person that you can help with either of these platforms? Check out my video about the 2 different platforms so that you can set realistic expectations:https://youtu.be/gyzzZi4oh5o

Facebook

Facebook is still an extremely popular and viable platform to promote your business, but remember the viewer is there for entertainment.  They are on Facebook to leave the stress of work and personal growth behind. They may be there to learn something, but they are there to see their family and friends.  They are not in the mindset to purchase right then.Pro: Groups lets you interact with others without seeming sales-yCon: You may have to advertise to get actual conversions from this platform.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn is a viable platform to promote your business. The user is there for better themselves, moving their careers forward and connecting with other people.  They may be more open to business opportunities and collaborations. They may even be in the mindset to find someone to help move their business forward.Pro: Majority of the users are professional and positive.Con: The degrees of separation make it to where you may never interact with your ideal client.Promoting Your Business on Facebook Vs.
